Fiji Yacht Charter
7 DAY ITINERARY - YASAWA AND MAMANUCA ISLANDS
The Mamanuca and Yasawa islands offer fine beaches and a sunny climate being the dry side of Fiji. Most of the passages are inside the reefs and are of reasonably short duration. It’s a great destination for those who do not want to do open water passages. Surfing, diving, snorkelling, fishing, beautiful beaches, and cultural displays are some of the activities you can do in this area.

DAY 1: Board VvS1 at Denarau Marina, 20 minutes from Nadi International Airport.
Depart for Musket Cove (1 ½ hrs)
Options - Dive at Namotu, Surf at Wilkes passage, snorkel at Musket Cove, explore the Resort area and visit the shops.
DAY 2: Depart for cruise through the Mamanucas, the sand Cay, Castaway Island, Mociu Island, or to Vanua Levu, depending on weather, for snorkelling, a beach and lunch.
Options - Dive and/or snorkel Mana or Vanua Levu in the morning and Dive “Fan Club” in the afternoon
Anchor in the Waya area or further up to Nanuya Balavu.
DAY 3: Snorkel with Manta Rays before cruising to the Blue Lagoon area – about 3 hours. Blue Lagoon is a good place for Beach visits, Kayaking, Diving, and water sports.
Options – Experience a Lovo (Fijian feast cooked in the ground) on the beach At Otto and Fanny’s place - Fijian Music and Kava. Diving - Petes, Boyds reef, Bonzai, Cabbage patch. Good snorkelling too.

DAY 4:
Head to Yasawa Island, the most Northern Island in the group. Visit one of the numerous beautiful beaches and Yasawa I Rara village for a Meke – traditional Fijian dancing and singing, and a shell and handicraft market.
Options – Swim, Snorkel, kayak. Dive Yawini Island wall or Black Rock.
DAY 5:
Depart for Sawa i Lau for visit to the underwater caves. This spot appears in the ‘Blue lagoon’ movie starring Brooke Shields. Swim in the lagoon, and for the adventurous, swim through into the cave (with a flashlight –its dark in there!).
Remain at Sawa I Lau for the night or shift to Malakati, depending on the weather.
Day 6: An early start to make our way to Naviti Island for lunch, beaches, hiking, swimming, snorkelling. Anchor here for night if there is not too much swell, or head to Soso bay late afternoon.

Day 7: Visit a village before making a longer journey (4 hours) back to Malolo Island, fishing along the way. Stop at one of the Mamanuca Islands for lunch and a break.
Day 8: Early snorkel, dive or watersports before making the 1 ½ hour journey back to Denarau Marina.
