Auckland Yacht Charter
Sample 7 night Yacht Charter Itinerary – Auckland to Auckland
Day 1: Depart for Waiheke Island (1 ½ hrs). Take a mini bus tour of the island visiting the sculpture gardens and Stoneyridge and Mudbrick Vineyards. Stoneyridge has recently been voted one of the world’s top 10 vineyards to visit. Enjoy wine tasting or dinner ashore, or both. Depending on the weather conditions, relocate to Motuihe Island for the night.
Day 2: Cross over to the Coromandel Peninsula (3 ½ hrs). Visit the historic town of Coromandel before anchoring in Te Kouma Harbour for the night.

Day 3: Early departure for Great Barrier Island (4 ½ hrs), the largest island in the Hauraki Gulf. It is a rugged and scenic island with unspoilt beaches, hot springs, old kauri dams and a forest sanctuary. Options: Hike to the top of Mt Hobson for fantastic views. See Kauri dams on the way; Diving – there are pinnacles, shipwrecks, lots of fish and great visibility; Mountain biking through forests to the hot water springs; 8x8 adventures, traverse beaches, wetlands and volcanic terrain; Island tours with a local guide.
Day 4 and 5: Remain at Great Barrier Island to continue exploring.
Day 6: Early morning departure for Goat Island (3 hrs), then onto Kawau Island (1 ½ hrs) for the night. Goat Island is New Zealand’s first marine reserve (547 acres) and the sea has become a giant aquarium. You can snorkel and scuba dive and see huge snapper, blue maomao, crayfish, stingrays, colourful sponges and if you’re lucky, bottle nosed dolphins. The Mansion House on Kawau, was once home to New Zealand’s first Governor General. Now, Wallabies and Peacock’s roam the grounds. There are great walks on Kawau Island.
Day 7: Cruise down to Mahurangi Harbour (1 hr). Take a trip in the tender up the harbour to the town of Warkworth. Teppanyaki Dinner on the Flybridge.
Day 8: Make our way back to Auckland (2 ½ hrs)
